
Gary Foley is an Aboriginal Gumbaynggirr activist, academic, writer and actor. He has been an uncompromising radical since the 1970s and continues to educate a new generation of fighters.
Gary is best known for his role in the black power movement and the early days of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy in Canberra which was established in 1972. He also was central to establishing an Aboriginal Legal Service in Redfern in the 1970s.
